Professional Sign Installation & Manufacturing

Guidelines

As a Real Estate Agent, a critical marketing step for your listing is the installation of a yard sign on the property. At Realty Services we provide prompt, professional and economical sign installation service. We have several trained professional installers to insure that you get the service you expect. Additionally, we have recently opened our sign manufacturing division. Our intent is to provide you with “one stop shopping” to make the experience as convenient and efficient as possible. Realty Services of Spokane, Inc. is fully insured and has been in business serving the Spokane area since 1993. Below we have listed some suggestions that will help us provide the best service possible.

Residential Signs

You can order a post installation by fax, phone or Website. Please be very clear on your order and include the zip code and /or map coordinates, so if we are dealing with a duplicate street we will know which one you are referring to. Please include any special instructions, so our drivers do not need to guess about anything to complete your order. Orders must be submitted by 7:00pm PT to be installed on the next business day. If your order comes in late we may be able to work it into the schedule, but cannot guarantee it. Contact us.

Directional Signs

You may need one or more signs on corners to direct traffic to your listing. Please make sure that the corner is not private property, someone’s yard or state land. You may have to get permission in advance in order to have a directional sign installed. If we think a location is not legal and you did not get permission, we will not install at that location. However, when this is the case we will call you and let you know. We do not want to lose our post or your sign. We are occasionally contacted by the county to remove signs at an illegal or problematic location. If the county makes a request such as this, we will let you know.

Commercial Signs

Commercial signs are usually larger such as 4’ x 4’ or 4’ x 8’. These are installed on special posts that are held up by skids so they won’t tip over. The skids will then be secured with sand bags or stakes to minimize the chance of tipping in high winds. If necessary we will bury posts directly into the ground providing that the soil can be dug with a manual post hole digger.

Storage of Name Strips, Riders and Signs

We will maintain the name strips, riders and signs in our warehouse where it is dry and secure. All name strips provided by Reality Services are made out of durable Coro sign board for longevity.

Ordering a sign, rider or name strip to be manufactured

To request more signs, strips or riders you can order by phone or fax. Production time will depend on our current work-load. However, if you have an urgent matter, let us know and we will try to accommodate you. Our Graphics Division is full service, so if you have a specific need for a custom rider or need a particular substrate, please contact us and we will discuss the various options with you.

Name Strips, Rider and Signs provided by other companies

If you are ordering your signs from another provider please let us know the details and if they are local we will pick them up for no charge. We strongly recommend that all name strips be made out of Coro Sign Board rather than cardboard.

Sign Repair Kit

You can save yourself and us a lot of time if you keep a few tools in your trunk such as:

These tools can help you fix a problem on the spot, rather than waiting for us to take care of it.

Windermere Specific Guidelines

Signs:

There are currently three types of signs that a Windermere agent uses:

Riders / Arrows:

Only approved blue arrows and blue sold signs will be installed. Other than a flyer box these will be the only items attached to the post. We stock a variety of Windermere approved riders that are 24” x 4” wooden with black letters on a white background. Please contact us with your needs and we will let you know what we have in stock.
